This week our main idea was about Alienation, Isolation, and Coping. Now you may think that these are all the same thing but after i looked up on how they differentiate. I realized that they are very much something different. We talked about how huckleberry finn was a controversial book. Whether or not it should use the N word. I believe it should use the n word. The author used that word trying to show how people had talked back then and how it wasn't a good way that they should be speaking. We still isolate and alienate people in today's society. We shouldn't do this but yet we still somehow find a way to make it a part of our lives.

One of the main ideas from this week was learning how to trust someone. Especially when abnormal things are happening or when people are looking for something or someone to blame. People need to be aware of all the possible outcomes and not jump to conclusions and begin to become wary of others. People will become obsessed with power and try to control others or not treat them fairly. We learned these things from the Twilight Zone and from the Crucible. If we started treating people with equality and not obsess over some power the world would run a lot more smoother than it does in some places. It took me a little while to get going when we came back from break, but i have managed to get back in the swing of things. We learned that you really should check into things and get some evidence before you believe anything somebody says. We watched the Crucible and also read the book. Over the entire movie i learned that you really can't trust everybody unless if they have some proof of some sort. Everybody believed the girls when they were the ones who were lying. I am still wondering what ended of Abigail Williams. I believe she just ran away knowing she was a liar and would probably be hung for it. She was a fraud who just wanted to live on with John and kill his wife. I understood what we did this week really well. The combination of the movie and book made the movie easier to understand. |
